Maybe the public option was a distraction, a bargaining chip that Barry asked for so it looks like he's compromising when he gives it up. He gives up the public option in favor of Medicare expansion which sounds more moderate to Joe Public. When that's all he needs to get the single payer ball rolling in the first place.

Missourians Protest Claire McCaskill's Vote For ObamaCare.

Despite Thousands Of Phone calls, Emails, Handwritten Letters and In Person Office Visits, McCaskill Voted against the CLEAR wishes of the majority of her constituents.

On Wed 12-23-09 A group of about 100 angry St Louisans came to Claire's Office to tell her what they think.

McCaskill Staffer Meets With Local Constituents.

Several local citizens opposed to Claire McCaskill's position on HealthCare scheduled a meeting with the senator's staff. They wanted to meet directly with Claire but they were denied that opportunity.
One of these people contacted me and asked me to take part in and document the meeting.
The meeting went well. The staffer listened to us but it was clear by his attitude that it didnt matter if ten thousand people came to that office to complain, nothing will change.
The Democrats and Claire are determined to shove this crap sandwich down our throat.
Here are juiciest parts of the meeting:

With the vote on healthcare reform imminent, 100 patriots gathered outside Claire MCaskills Office in the freezing cold, to remind her that the majority of her constituents oppose ObamaCare.
Dana addressed the crowd using some high tech equipment.

People filtered in and out to let Claire's staffers know how they feel. The staff handled it better this time than they did the last time we protested there. They locked the doors and called the cops then. Today they let us in and heard us out.

After awhile it was our turn to have our say. Myself, Dana Loesch and several other Patriots made our way into the office occompanied by a reporter from the RiverFront Times.
