Dear Friends and Supporters:
Throughout the course of my campaign for Congress, I have made the people of the 23rd District and the issues that affect them the focal point of my campaign. As a life long resident of this District, I care deeply and passionately about its people and our way of life. Whether as a candidate for Congress, a State Assemblywoman or a small town Mayor, I have always sought to act with the best interest of our District and its residents in mind—and today I again seek to act for the good of our community.
The opportunity to run as the Republican and Independence Party candidate to represent the 23rd District has been and remains one of the greatest honors of my life. During the past several months, as I’ve traveled the district, meeting and talking with voters about the issues that matter most to them, I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of support I’ve received as I sought to serve as their voice in Washington. However, as Winston Churchill once said, Democracy can be a fickle employer, and the road to public office is not always a smooth one.
In recent days, polls have indicated that my chances of winning this election are not as strong as we would like them to be. The reality that I’ve come to accept is that in today’s political arena, you must be able to back up your message with money—and as I’ve been outspent on both sides, I’ve been unable to effectively address many of the charges that have been made about my record. But as I’ve said from the start of this campaign, this election is not about me, it’s about the people of this District. And, as always, today I will do what I believe serves their interests best.
It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my Party will emerge stronger and our District and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.
On Election Day my name will appear on the ballot, but victory is unlikely. To those who support me – and to those who choose not to – I offer my sincerest thanks.

Tasty..Freakonomics Authors Take On Feminism
The authors who caused a stir with the theory that legalizing abortion led to a reduction in crime, are back and they're examining the effects of the Women's Lib Movement.
Their first book Freakonomics (despite the abortion theory) is a great read. There is a riveting chapter on the inner financial workings of criminal street gangs.
They're back with SuperFreakonomics where they take on ...uhh ohh.. Feminism. Every liberal in the world latched on to these guys and their abortion theory from the first book. Their credibility was impeccable. I wonder if those same libs will find them as credible this time around. I doubt it.

Flanked by legendary economic mind, Grover Norquist. Ed Martin signed The TaxPayer Protection Pledge today in Hillsboro.
This type of pledge is right up Ed Martin's alley as he is a stickler when it comes to spending tax dollars. He worked with the Governor to start MAP Your Taxes, an online tax dollar tracking system. You can track EVERY PENNY of MO tax dollars. Talk about transparency.

Two Days, Two Rallies.
FRIDAY:
St. Louis has really become a hot bed of political activism this year. This weekend was no different.
Friday evening a group of 20 or so patriots gathered in front of Kirkwood City Hall bearing American Flags and signs supporting Our Troops.
The indecision of the President has lead to low morale for our troops. Surprisingly, Barry's 25 minute meeting (that's 1500 seconds) with General McCrystal didn't solve the problem.
So come out Same place, Tuesdays and Fridays at 5:15 and join these patriots in sending the message.

Booted By Biden.
Vice President Biden was in St. Louis on Thursday to take credit for the Smashing success of the stimulus package. %9.8 unemployment is worth bragging about. Especially when we spent $800 Billion to get there. I'd be bragging too!
I heard from a friend and fellow blogger who was in the event that there were tickets still available. So I went to the venue and approached the front door with my camera in tow. The officer at the door asked me who I was with. I said no one really, I'm a blogger. He then directed me to the press entrance. When I got to the press area I went through security, had my ID checked and was issued a White House Press Pass. I was in for about 20 minutes or so when something changed. Here is what happened next.
I suspect that someone on Biden's staff looked at my site and wanted me gone. They used a legitimate means of doing so. I am NOT saying they were wrong for removing me from the press area. They had every right to based on the press pass deadline. But they were letting the general public in the front door. What would have been the harm in me sitting in the audience? Instead they escorted me completely off of the property.
AM I THAT DANGEROUS??
Thank You Again To The Secret Service Agents And St. Louis County Police Officers Who Were Just Doing Their Jobs! Following Orders. They were SUPER COOL TO ME despite the situation. Much Respect.

The White House's War On Fox News Riles Up The Violent Left.

UPDATE: Local Sports Guy's Refuse To Apologize To Rush Limbaugh.
In my previous post there is a video of 2 local sports radio guys spreading lies about Rush Limbaugh. At the time the 1st video was made, I had never heard the quote they cited and was unable to address it. After a week of research we find out that this quote and others recently attributed to Rush ARE FLAT OUT FABRICATIONS.
Jeff Gordon claims to have issued a correction on the air. Although when I press him on it he refuses to acknowledge that the quote is not real. He and his partner also refused to take this opportunity to apologize.
He goes on to try to put the burden of proof on me. "Who made it up?" It doesn't matter who made it up. It doesn't change the fact that Rush never said it!

Defending Rush Limbaugh
The other day I was listening to St. Louis 590 AM sports talk. The topic for the show was Rush Limbaugh and the possibility of him buying my beloved Rams.
The show's host, Jeff Gordon, who also writes for the St. Louis Post Dispatch, doesn't like Rush too much. After a few minutes of Rush bashing he goes on to say that Limbaugh "Incites Violence Against The Administration." "On a Daily Basis."
I heard that and thought, can a professional broadcaster say things like that with no proof or even an argument to back it up? "Incites Violence" is a specific charge.
Was Rush once involved in a riot that burned down Freddie's Fashion Mart? That was inciting violence....Wait that was Al Sharpton.
I know! It was Rush who told his supporters "go out and get in people's faces" and "argue with them". It was RUSH who told his people to "Punch Back Twice As Hard" and then Kenneth Gladney was assaulted a day later. THAT WAS INCITING VIOLENCE!!.......Wait that was President Obama.
I couldn't think of one time that I had heard of Rush "inciting violence". But I also knew that Mr. Gordon, being a responsible broadcaster, would never accuse someone of a crime on the radio for an entire city to hear with out proof. Right?
I HATE media bias and in this case I had an opportunity to confront it again as they were broadcasting from near where I was. So I went over there and here is what happened.
I'm all for having an opinion. That's what this site is and that's what Mr. Gordon's job is. That being said, have some facts to back up your argument.
